MONTH OF PHOTOGRAPHY: Bill Armstrong + Kate Petley
In tandem with Denver’s Month of Photography, Robischon Gallery continues its first week of video portfolios with a collection of images from concept and process-driven artists Bill Armstrong and Kate Petley. Both distinctive artists employ a variety of techniques and diverse materials within their photographic processes to achieve vibrant prints that share a bold and luminous approach toward abstraction. Through meticulous layering and the use of hands-on compositional applications, Armstrong and Petley collapse the boundaries between painting, drawing, and sculpture through the eye of the camera lens.
